About

My name is Marlin Legare. I am a B. KIN, canfitpro PRO TRAINER and PTS, NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills Coach, and I’m TRX Suspension Qualified. I’ve been in the fitness industry in one way, shape or form for 7 years. During that time, I’ve learned, failed, succeeded, and found that every person is capable of more than they know.

The goals of this blog are to document my fitness experiences and coaching by showcasing my skills and knowledge via dynamic exercise skills tutorials, coaching techniques, and tips and tricks! You can expect posts and videos on weightlifting, gymnastics, programming, nutrition, and a few oddball posts along the way. It’s an exercise bank for fitness professionals and enthusiasts, a channel to create discussion in an industry so riddled with myths, bro-science, and pyramid schemes; and where we can have some fun doing it along the way!

I called this blog Masses and Spaces by stealing a coaching cue that trainers use on their clients to get them to correct posture and align themselves. The Spaces in our bodies refer to our cavities- the head, torso and hips. Our Masses refer to all that connect to the Spaces- shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. Proper human movement is becoming the norm with trainers and exercise specialists, and movement has been my passion and expertise for 10+ years. I still have much to learn and much to accomplish, just like any one else on their fitness path. This is just as much of a learning experience for me as it is an opportunity to share what I have learnt. To all those who have bothered to read this, I thank you for checking my project out.
